Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions establish the rules and conditions applicable to the purchase, reservation, and use of travel services offered by Royal Amazonia. By making a reservation or purchasing any service, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
1. Scope of Services
Royal Amazonia provides tourism-related services, including but not limited to tours, excursions, transportation, accommodation arrangements, guided experiences, activities, and other travel services described on our website or in our travel programs. The specific services included in each reservation will be those expressly indicated in the corresponding itinerary, quotation, or booking confirmation.
2. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions
By requesting a reservation, making a payment, or participating in any service provided by Royal Amazonia, the client confirms their acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These conditions apply to all clients, including individual travelers, groups, and persons making reservations on behalf of other travelers.
3. Reservations and Booking Confirmation
A reservation is considered confirmed only after Royal Amazonia has received the required payment or deposit and has issued a booking confirmation, unless otherwise agreed in writing. A quotation, availability inquiry, or provisional reservation does not constitute a confirmed booking until the applicable confirmation requirements have been fulfilled.
4. Prices and Services
Prices are stated according to the information provided at the time of quotation or reservation and may vary depending on the selected services, number of travelers, travel dates, accommodation category, transportation, and other applicable conditions. Royal Amazonia reserves the right to correct obvious pricing or informational errors and will inform the client of any relevant correction before final confirmation whenever possible.
5. Payments
The client agrees to make payments according to the payment schedule communicated by Royal Amazonia. Failure to make a required payment within the established deadline may result in the cancellation of the reservation or the loss of availability, subject to the applicable payment and cancellation policies.
6. Changes to Itineraries and Services
Travel itineraries may occasionally need to be modified due to weather conditions, road closures, transportation issues, operational circumstances, government regulations, safety considerations, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Royal Amazonia. When necessary, Royal Amazonia may make reasonable changes to the itinerary while seeking to maintain the nature and overall quality of the contracted experience.
7. Accommodation
When accommodation is included in a travel package, the hotel or lodge category will correspond to the category specified in the confirmed booking. Royal Amazonia may provide an equivalent or superior alternative when the originally selected accommodation is unavailable, subject to operational circumstances and availability.
8. Transportation
Transportation services are provided according to the itinerary and service category confirmed at the time of booking. Departure and arrival times may be affected by traffic, weather, road conditions, local restrictions, operational delays, or other circumstances. Clients are responsible for following the instructions provided by Royal Amazonia regarding meeting points and departure times.
9. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal information, travel details, passport information, and any other information required to organize the services. Clients must also comply with the instructions provided by guides, drivers, accommodation providers, and other service personnel, particularly when such instructions are related to safety.
10. Travel Documents and Entry Requirements
Each traveler is responsible for ensuring that they possess valid passports, visas, permits, vaccination certificates, travel insurance, or any other documents required for their trip and destination. Royal Amazonia may provide general travel information when available, but clients should verify the specific entry and immigration requirements applicable to their nationality and travel circumstances with the relevant authorities.
11. Health, Fitness, and Personal Conditions
Certain tours and activities may involve walking, hiking, altitude, physical exertion, uneven terrain, changing weather conditions, or other physical demands. Clients are responsible for assessing whether their physical condition is suitable for the selected activity and for informing Royal Amazonia in advance of any relevant condition, limitation, allergy, dietary requirement, or special assistance requirement that may affect the provision of the service.
12. Travel Insurance
Royal Amazonia strongly recommends that all clients obtain appropriate travel insurance covering, where applicable, medical expenses, accidents, trip interruption, cancellation, baggage loss, delays, emergency assistance, and other unforeseen circumstances. Unless expressly stated otherwise in the confirmed service, travel insurance is not included in the price of the tour.
13. Third-Party Service Providers
Some services may be provided by independent third-party suppliers, including hotels, transportation companies, restaurants, guides, boat operators, activity providers, and other tourism service providers. Royal Amazonia will select and coordinate such providers with reasonable care; however, the availability and operation of third-party services may be subject to their own policies, regulations, schedules, and operational conditions.
14. Force Majeure
Royal Amazonia shall not be considered responsible for delays, modifications, interruptions, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These may include, among other circumstances, natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, protests, political unrest, government restrictions, road closures, public emergencies, transportation disruptions, epidemics, pandemics, or other unforeseeable events that may affect the normal operation of the services.
15. Complaints and Service Issues
If a client experiences a problem during a tour or service, they should notify Royal Amazonia or the responsible guide as soon as reasonably possible so that an appropriate solution can be considered while the service is taking place. Complaints submitted after the completion of the service should be communicated within a reasonable period and should include sufficient information to allow Royal Amazonia to review the situation.
16. Personal Belongings
Clients are responsible for their personal belongings, documents, money, electronic devices, luggage, and other valuables throughout the trip. Royal Amazonia shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings unless such responsibility is expressly established by applicable law or is directly attributable to the proven negligence of Royal Amazonia.
17. Photography and Promotional Material
During tours and activities, photographs or audiovisual material may be taken for operational or promotional purposes, subject to applicable laws and permissions. If a client does not wish to appear in promotional material, they may communicate this preference to Royal Amazonia.
18. Minors
Clients traveling with minors are responsible for their supervision and safety throughout the trip. Parents, guardians, or accompanying adults must ensure that minors comply with the instructions and safety requirements applicable to each activity.
19. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations, changes, and refund requests are subject to Royal Amazonia’s applicable Cancellation and Refund Policy, as well as the specific conditions established by third-party service providers. The amount refundable, if any, may depend on the date of cancellation, the type of service purchased, supplier conditions, and non-refundable amounts already committed to the reservation.
20. Amendments to These Terms and Conditions
Royal Amazonia reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions when necessary to reflect changes in its services, operational procedures, legal requirements, or business practices. The version applicable to a reservation will generally be the version in effect at the time the reservation is confirmed, unless a subsequent modification is required by applicable law.
21. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of Peru. Any dispute arising in connection with the services provided by Royal Amazonia shall, where applicable, be addressed through the appropriate legal or administrative channels established under Peruvian law.
22. Contact and Communication
For questions regarding reservations, services, changes, complaints, or these Terms and Conditions, clients may contact Royal Amazonia through the official communication channels provided on the website. Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information so that important travel-related communications can be delivered before and during their trip.
23. Acceptance
By completing a reservation or purchasing a service from Royal Amazonia, the client confirms that they have had the opportunity to review these Terms and Conditions and agrees to comply with the provisions contained herein, together with any specific conditions communicated as part of their confirmed booking.
